At Sleep2010 in San Antonio, Texas last June we had the privilege of meeting 14-year old Anita Rao, founder of Project S.I.E.S.T.A (Students Involved in the Education about Sleep Hygiene for Teen Adolescents). Anita has been traveling to sleep conferences in order to spread her message about the benefits of sleep hygiene to teenage adolescents. She decided to start this project when she was in the 8th grade, and has been spreading the word since in hopes of reaching out to teens in order help reduce the number of those with poor sleep and sleep habits, and to promote sleep hygiene.
