Compass Recording Systems |
|
|
Compass Recording Systems are comprehensive,
yet easy to use systems for detecting
SDB. The Compass lightweight recorder
uses a quick, USB download and provides
the most ergonomic solution for you and
your patient. Featuring different components
and options to suit your needs, Compass
is an ideal solution for detecting and
controlling therapy of sleep disordered
breathing. Compass comes with a detailed
written manual and a helpful hook-up card
for patients. The software also simplifies
the process with an intuitive user interface
featuring familiar tasks. This means less
time spent on training and using the system.

is available in two different configurations:
|
|
| |
|
|
Compass F10 |
|
|
This recorder is ideal for detecting
SDB, snoring and using the flattening
index to indicate flow limitation in the
upper airway.

|
Compass M10 |
|
|
This recorder is ideal for detecting
Sleep Disordered Breathing, differentiating
between central and obstructive apnea
and using RMI to indicate patient breathing
instability. The M10 is also a perfect
fit for therapy control studies as flow
is detected through the XactTrace RIP
belts.

The Medcare Compass Software is used
to prepare the Compass recorders, download
and analyze the study. It introduces a
new type of user interface, designed for
a simple and efficient workflow.

Part of Medcare Pathway Programs |
|
|
Pathway Programs are designed to assist
in managing and maintaining the patient
population at large. By using components
from the Pathway Programs, more efficient
clinical pathways can be designed for
patients that should undergo a sleep study
of any kind.

Use the XactTrace and XFlow Advantage |
|
|
Medcare acquisition systems use the XactTrace
advantage. This respiratory effort sensor
from Medcare is based on the proven Respiratory
Inductive Plethysmograph (RIP) technology.
This solution delivers unmatched effort
trace accuracy, eliminates polarity shift,
and is more hygienic and comfortable for
the patient.
XFlow
is an efficient and unintrusive way to
get the flow information you need. When
the output of the abdominal and thoracic
signals measured by XactTrace are combined,
the patient's inspiratory and expiratory
flow can be measured. This semi-quantitative
XFlow signal is comparable to linearized
airflow signals acquired from nasal pressure
transducers and a pneumotachograph signal.
